Backdrop is a four episode show that I wrote, produced, recorded and edited. Here’s the synopsis:

My grandfather, Jose Escoto, never knew his father. Shortly after he was born, his dad walked out on him and his mother. Growing up, Jose could never figure out why his dad left or why his mother refused to talk to him about it.

This began a journey that lasted for more than a decade. Jose decided one thing — he wanted to know who his dad was. He wanted to find him. Backdrop takes you through Jose's journey — which became my entire family's journey — to track his father down and every twist and turn he encountered along the way.
